Meeting Minutes for September 3, 2020

Sam called meeting to order at 7:02 pm
Brian led us in prayer.
We said the Pledge of Allegiance.
Melinda reads letter of acceptance for official non-profit status (501c3). We are proud of this!
Melinda talks about Topless Day on Sept 19. Proceeds (money and food) will go to The Grace House food pantry in Fort Valley. We need volunteers. She informs people of how we are doing things differently this year. We will be practicing social distancing. No one will get out of Jeeps for any reason. Aimee tells people to stay tuned on the details and that Melinda has done a great job coming up with this! We will be holding the event at Houston County Annex on Carl Vinson Pkwy. We mentioned shirts are for sale on the forum. Sam gives an overview of what we are doing at the event. We will also be taking cash donations the day of the event.
Sam talks about Gulches ride. Tony talks about the group he is leading out at 8 am. If you have a trailer you'd like to park, see Sam. See forum to sign up and for travel thread.
Sam talks about Brad being out of town. Brad wanted us to mention about the hat order. $20 each. Need a minimum of 12 to order. See forum to sign up if you're interested.
We are still looking at Sept 26 at River Rock for our training date. There is a sign up on the forum. Stay tuned for more info.
October 3 is Jays Hope Fundraiser with Hawgs 4 Hope. We would like to see a big turn out for this. There will be a sign up on the forum in the future.
October 10 is the trip to Beasley Knob. There are 10 rooms booked in Samantha Gilbert's name at the Bestwestern in Blairsville. Get those rooms booked soon.
The chili cook off has been set for October 24. We are still working out the details. Stay tuned.
Melinda advised the treasury report will be on the forum under members only section.
The minutes from last month's meeting will be posted on forum.
Sam asks everyone to use your actual name when signing up for something on the forum.
Sam talks about the suggestion to send our local schools postcards to show our appreciation for all they do. Adam Smith's idea is to prepare a thank you card with our club photo.
Sam talks about members signing code of conduct sheet. Advised to please get this signed and turned back in to council. Also, Russell is working on putting together a folder for each member with all relevant information.
