Hey Jeeples,

It’s spooky season on the haunted trails, and that means it is time for our annual Chili Cookoff/Dessert Throw Down/Costume contest!  So, get out those recipe books, clean up this crock pots and start working on those costumes!  Like last year, this event is open to all Jeepers (not just club members).  Challenge other Jeep Clubs to join us!

It will be held at Rozar Park in Perry, Georgia.  The event starts at 4 pm.  The club will provide tasting cups, plasticware, napkins and a power supply. You will need to bring the rest.  Don’t forget to bring something to drink (sorry, Rozar is alcohol free), crackers or chips to go with your chili, serving utensils for chili and desserts and of course, your appetite!  More details coming soon!  Sign up below:

Happy Fall Ya’ll!

It’s officially pumpkin spice, apple cider and leaf changing season, and what better way to welcome fall than a tour of some of Georgia’s historic covered bridges?  We will depart from the Houston Lake Cinemas parking lot at 8 am and tour bridges on our way up to Stone Mountain, Georgia for lunch.  Afterwards, we will continue touring our way up to Tiger, Georgia where we will end our evening at one of Georgia’s few remaining drive in theaters!  (Movie is the original Hocus Pocus.  Cost is $10 for 12 and older, $5 for kids 4-11 and free for under 4.). At Tiger you can also tent camp (toilets and showers on site)for $20, rv camp for $40, stay at onsite cabins and vintage campers or stay in hotels at nearby Clayton, Ga. (Go ahead and book it now!) Sunday morning, you can choose to depart for home or visit a few more bridges just outside Athens, Georgia on our way back.  This is a stock Jeep friendly event.  It is not a “members only event”.  If you have a friend who owns a Jeep, bring them along!  If you plan to go, we ask that you donate at least $10 in non perishable items (per Jeep) for the Grace House the morning of the event.  Please sign up below if you plan to attend:

A Hotel Option:  Quality Inn & Suites Mt. Chalet, 834 Highway 441 South, Clayton, GA, 30525, (706) 782-2214, Coffee Pots in room and breakfast 06:00-10:00, ** Military Discount
