So I placed an order for new shocks from 4WD.com (couldn't pass up their deal on 4 Rancho RS9000XL shocks) on March 29. After placing the order a customer service rep is supposed to call me to get my vehicle info. After not hearing from them in a couple of days I send an email asking for an order update. No reply ever comes.

On April 2 a service rep finally calls while I'm at work and leaves a voicemail. When I get home from work around 4:30 I return her call but get HER voicemail. I leave a message. She doesn't call back.

On the morning of April 3 I call but, again, get her voicemail. I leave another message but, of course, she doesn't return my call.

So I'm closing in on a week and still nothing. I'll keep updating the thread but as of now I'd say avoid 4WD.com.

I've ordered from them but never dealt with their customer service. Sucks dude. Sorry to hear it.

I've ordered from them several times and only had one issue and that was on a part for a Dana 20 t case that was back ordered for like a month and no one called tell me. Other than that never an issue. Sorry to hear they are doing that though.

I ordered a tire from there and waited two weeks. Then called to ask if I could cancel it. Reply was, "sure you can, it is on back order for a couple months."

No one was going to call me. Just let me wait.

I know it sounds fishy, but email kolak@aol.com and tell him what you have and that you are looking for shocks.  Very solid rep in the Grand Cherokee circle.

It is where I got my ProComp MX6's and I know he carries the Ranchos.  I bought from him after a similar debacle from a site that I can't remember now.  They sent me front shock for an F350.  After too long, I had to start the CC dispute process.

Kolak responds quickly and I got the right parts, right away.

I prefer a 4.0 in my Jeep since I have the minivan to go fast and get good gas mileage.

Called again this morning and SURPRISE got her voicemail again. Left her a message to just go ahead and cancel my order.

Thanks for the info Bryan. I may send him a message after I get confirmation of my cancellation.

Well what do you know. The rep FINALLY returned my call. When I tell her I have been trying to get her all week she tells me she's been gone all week. Don't know about you but when I'm not at work I have someone else handle calls for me and I don't leave customers hanging.

So I told her to cancel my order and she didn't seem too concerned about it. Made me feel like I was a bother. Never again 4WD.com.

Yep customers are not important on an individual base.  That's why I prefer to deal with other companies.  Extreme terrain and krawl off-road are my favorites

I keep forgetting there's a Summit up I75 near Griffin. Wonder if they price match.

Yes they do price match, but a lot of times it is hard to beat their price to begin with. It is actually in McDonough, and shipping is reasonable usually free or close to it, and fast, from what I here, I only live a few minutes from them so that ain't an issue for me, but Richard can tell you more about the shipping.
