What are the necessary components of a good trail tool kit?

Mine consist of sae wrenches up to 3/4, metric up to 19mm, quality ratcheting screw driver with assorted bits including torx, hammer, scrape, pic/awl, small and medium adjustable wrench, Ford wrench, wire cutters, small and large allen packs, metric allen pack, some punches, snap ring pliers, assorted pliers, vise grips, electrical tape,zip ties and an assortment of tools that are kind of rig specific to my junk.

Jayson and I carry everything.  Multiple sets of rear axle shafts...drive shafts..tie rod ends...every tool you can think of.  Put it this way...we can pretty much put a lift on ...wait...we have done that.  Our list goes on and on and on.  Extra rear axle shafts are worth their weight in gold.  We will pack fluids if we are in the middle of no where.  Places like Chocco where you are close to town we leave a lot of stuff at home.

I bring all the tools to do a lift or swap shafts.  I have spare arms and rear shafts I take depending on location. Fluids I Dont usually because most our locations are less than an hour from a Walmart 24/7

I was thankful that Wei had some Teflon tape to seal off the threads on the fuel line repair from the pickup that caught fire. I had never thought about packing that before.
