Tie rod and 15 inch wheels
« on: October 21, 2017, 05:28:18 PM »
I have 15x8 wheels with a 4 inch backspacing. need to upgrade my tie rod. some manufacturers say that you have to have at least a 17 inch wheel, and some say you have to have at least a 4.5 inch backspacing, but say nothing about wheel size. Anybody running a similar setup? i already talked to russ, and he said he's using spacers which i would like to avoid if possible.

I have those 15" wheels everyone gets from discount. I replaced tire rods, drag link, essentially everything with Moog stuff. No clearance issues at all. Moog was definitely a step up from stock, heavier duty, greasable. Not sure if some of the heavier duty aftermarket stuff retain the same dimensions.
